"If you are thinking about investing through Jayson Hoffer read this. I think it will explain why Jayson recently hired an assistant financial advisor. He was my insurance agent for about 20 years and I bought life insurance on my fiancée through him. One day he called me in for a consultation and asked what he could do for me. I said my house needs a roof. Noting that I was over 60 yrs old he suggested I withdraw from my IRA to pay off credit card debt. He had no advice on what that would do to my tax return. Then he suggested that we cash out the life insurance which I had payed $8k into and got $2k back. He offered no advice on replacement insurance. My fiancée passed away less than 2 months later. She was 60. So now I owe over 5k to the IRS, $12k to family and friends and several thousand to credit cards because of funeral costs. Retirement is no longer an option. I'm 63 and I've had emphysema for over 5 years. Jayson didn't ask what he could do for me then, but he did send a sympathy card. My new agent, same company, different office, sent someone out to check my roof and informed me they would cover it. So I guess Jayson isn't really good at anything except making money for himself.
