AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

"This is important to the review just bare with me. I went to Big O Tires on Alma and Southern to get my tires done. I asked for a brake inspection. They told me my brakes were shot, that my upper and lower radiator hoses were leaking, that due to that coolant leak one of my belts were cracked and needed to be replaced. They were quoting me $1500 for that work to be done. This felt very wrong. I've never seen any evidence of a leak. My car wasn't overheating. So I wanted a second opinion. I took my car to AAMCO on Country Club Dr and had them inspect my car. I told them what happened at Big O Tires. They had me fully tee'd up to tell me everything was correct but charge me less and I'd have believed them. But they did the right thing. They let me know that there was no leak in my radiator hoses, I do not have a bad belt, and yes my brakes were towards the end of life and were at about 25% so they needed to be done but not right this second. So instead of lying to me or trying to use scare tactics to make me pay for services I didn't need they were very honest and up front. I love that they did that when again given what I had just been through at BIG O's they could have easily played on and taken advantage of me in that moment. I'm really glad I went to them for my 2nd opinion on my car. They fixed my leaking A/C same day, too as a walk in. I genuinely couldn't rave enough about these guys."

"This place has changed my view of the honesty of Americans. Their deception is poor but makes you speechless. Fix a problem and create a few problems at the same time. Please believe those who leave bad comments. They will destroy your car and empty your wallet! Please don't doubt that I'm not your customer. A few months ago, you charged me $3,200, of which I got a loan of $2,000. You claimed to have replaced my gearbox, but God knows if you have replaced it. Not only that, when I took back the car from you, I found that the bottom of the car was abnormal and the engine failure light was on. Oh, my God, this makes my empty wallet even more embarrassed. You know, the $2,000 loan you recommended to me will charge more than $300 interest every month. This maintenance experience is terrible!"

"Great experience. I had another Transmission shop turn me down because they were unfamiliar with my make/model Hyundai. That shop suggested the Dealership, but Dealerships can be very costly and are known for recommending unnecessary repairs. I decided to give this AAMCO location a call and I am so glad I did.
