"We had just drove in to Peoria and had enough time to check in to our resort and start putting our feet up when we realized we needed to get dinner. We didn't take in to account that lots of restaurants close fairly early here. After finally figuring out what to eat, we ended up at squid ink. There was only 30 minutes left until they closed but the servers were very nice and hospitable. We ordered right away and got the Squid and Nancy, green bean tempura, dragon roll, kids chicken teriyaki noodles and assorted sushi platter. Squid and Nancy was just calamari with a green sauce, the tempura green beans were like the Habit. Dragon roll was decent and the sushi platter had too much rice, that wasn't seasoned. Kids didn't touch the noodles but I ate that the next day. We also received the wrong bill when we were going to pay but that got cleared up quickly Overall, service was great, I understand we came in late so maybe the food quality wasn't the best. Might give it another shot in the future"
"Fabulous hand painted wall art. This is my second visit there, both for a bday sushi dinner. Sushi was very fresh. The yellow tail roll with jalapeños was divine! We also haf a fresh spicy tuna roll, with jalapeños as well. My fresh lemon drop martini, low on the sugar, was delicious! Highly recommend!"
"The best part of what we ordered was my husband’s old fashioned. Both of our sushi rolls were unnecessarily spicy. I always order spicy tuna rolls but this one was all spice and no actual flavor. My espresso martini was far too sweet, it tasted more like the Irish cream in it then espresso. I’ll stick to Harumi or Ugly Tuna."
"Excellent dinner. Was a little busy but not as much as we thought on Super Bowl weekend. We got there before it got really busy. Always enjoyable food and atmosphere. Go doing 3-7pm for happy hour pricing."
"After a spectacularly cruddy day we both decided sushi was the answer. I'd never been here and it was close so that is where we went. We arrived during happy hour so got a few things for a reduced price. We had the Vegas roll, the East Meets West, Surf N Turf and Flying Phoenix. They were all great, with a toss up between East and Phoenix as to our favorite choice for the evening. The service was friendly and quick. We will definitely be back for more!"
