"This is one of the designated "old folks" restaurants we have in the area. I haven't been here in 10 years since my grandmother died. They remodeled , its nice and clean and smells good. Had a chicken sandwich with fries and a Reuben with fries. The chicken sandwich was good, not dry, but was lacking flavor Rueben was never given the option for 1000 islands, so it came out plain and waitstaff was switching from the am to pm, so we were just kind of left there so i had to go to the counter to get it. . Prob be another 10 years before i go back, but im not knocking it. Nice little restaurant."

"Update: we tried again last evening. The fish is AWFUL! It's no longer battered. Ugh! My husband's burger was well overcooked, same as last visit. So well done it was mostly black on the outside. He won't make that mistake again. The quality of staff and food has really declined. Sad to witness such a great diner in decline. I'm writing this knowing our concerns and complaints have no impact. The owners are indifferent to hearing the truth. ................... Original post The quality of the food has declined. The quality of service has declined. We were recently in there for an early dinner. It was about 80°. I mentioned the level of warmth to our waitress. She told us there's nothing they can do about it, the owners won't let them. We can bring sweaters and jackets to stem off the cold morning air, or the a/c in the summer. There is nothing we can do to cool off when it's 80° inside.....except patronize a restaurant that knows how to keep their customers comfortable."

"Stopped in for breakfast around 830am. It seems I beat the breakfast rush, people began arriving rapidly about 9am. I wasn't sure what to order, this being my first time eating here, so the waitress gave me plenty of time to review the menu. I ordered the chicken fried steak skillet with over-easy eggs, wheat toast, and coffee. The service was excellent! My coffee was kept full, my food arrived timely and hot. I was checked on regularly. My food looked delicious, but I did find it to be a bit on the bland side. That is why I rated a 4 instead of a 5. I added salt and pepper to my skillet and that helped it some, but it was still lacking. I noticed the patrons to be mostly of a mature age, so I attributed the lack of season to their attempt to please this crowd. The food was edible, just lacked a little flavor for my liking. I'll return another time to try their lunch/dinner options."

"It's a quiet little restaurant that services from breakfast until dinner. The staff were pleasant and patient with the kids. The food wasn't anything to brag about. The food is bland. Most of the breakfast items are single and no sides. The inside is very dated decor. I wasn't impressed with the food and wasn't worth getting to go containers. The kids meals are the same way ypu have to add the sides and this isn't worth the money."
