The ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center, located at 875 Perimeter Drive in Moscow, Idaho, United States, is a multi-use facility designed to benefit the entire University of Idaho student body. This indoor athletic stadium and event venue, also known as the Kibbie Dome, is home to the Idaho Vandals and hosts a variety of intercollegiate sports competitions, including football, basketball, soccer, tennis, and indoor track and field.
The iconic dome structure, named after former U of I student William H. Kibbie, spans over 400 feet and stands 144 feet tall at its center. The facility, which opened in October 1971, has undergone several phases of construction to become the enclosed structure it is today. The Kibbie Dome can be reconfigured to host different events, including the Cowan Spectrum for Vandal basketball games and the only NCAA indoor soccer field in the country.
In addition to athletic events, the Kibbie Dome hosts numerous campus, community, and vendor activities, such as the annual Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival and commencement ceremonies. The facility is a popular destination for tens of thousands of visitors each year, offering a quality venue location in Northern Idaho.
The ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center is open during academic hours on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. During summer, holidays, and non-academic periods, the facility is open on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on weekends.
With significant support from the state, university, alumni, and students, the Kibbie Dome continues to evolve and meet the diverse needs of the programs it serves. The facility also implements a clear bag policy for all events with 500 attendance, starting from January 1, 2020.
