The Summit Grill at the Tramway upper terminal in Joseph, Oregon, offers a unique dining experience with breathtaking views of Wallowa Lake and the Wallowa Mountains. Open from 10:15 AM to 3:30 PM, the Summit Grill serves a variety of casual Northwest cuisine at affordable prices. Guests can enjoy table service dining on the Alpine Patio, accompanied by a selection of beers, wines, and beverages. After a delicious meal, visitors can explore over 2 miles of hiking trails with stunning viewpoints. The tranquil atmosphere and stunning scenery make the Summit Grill a must-visit destination in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Open select dates in May, June, and September, and from 9 AM to 4:30 PM in July and August.

"It's frozen or refrigerated, prepared bulk foods heated up. So, meh. But it's hard to get stuff up there and power things. So, I get it. The service is great. The team working up there is super nice and put in the effort. The drink selection is nice, and you can't beat the view."
"We were hesitant, based on other reviews, but we loved this place! Our server, Canaan (younger guy with bushy hair), was SO nice and polite and friendly! I ordered the Ivar's clam chowder to start and then the pot roast stew (it was cold and soup sounded so good). Both were delicious, as was the toasted focaccia that came with both. My husband had the meatball sandwich and he loved it. The views were great, the food was great, the staff was friendly. Not sure what else you could ask for."
"Pretty great location for a grill with outdoor/indoor seating options. Limited food options on the menu which gave the "assemble & serve" vibe. Ordered Ivar's chowder: it was delivered hot with a side slice of crusty bread. Decent for a frozen and rewarmed chowder. Selected a blond beer from local brewery that we've had earlier & knew was good. Honestly was disappointed in the food options and quality. For the price paid, was expecting at least a good salad or sandwich option without paying the meat prices but having no meat. Service was okay; nothing special. Place was super busy and almost all tables taken so staff may have been overwhelmed. We plan to return for the tram ride & may consider stopping in for a refreshing beer only but will most definitely not be eating here again. Not worth the calories & $$ spent."
"Beautiful view. The pulled pork sandwich was really good. They were having grill problems and we got a hamburger raw. They were nice and removed our hamburger from our tab. I will try it again next time in Hope's the air and the grill are better."
