"At first they are extremely welcoming. Many in the church bring warmth. A sense of community. However I was perhaps a bit niave and missed the fact that Glenhaven is an Evangelical church. Once I discovered this, the tone and direct messaging felt as if this church was more about "changing" others rather than a safe place. I received "Biblical" messages that my soul would be damned and that i wouldn't get into Heaven unless i knew God "in the right way". Some of the leadership there can be very manipulative and make you feel uncomfortable. A 5 star reviewer here, Louie Shears, is an ex elder removed for improper conduct. Another reviewer mentioned a "grey haired lady" who is also a member of leadership. There is great potential here but has the weight of some unhealthy leaders."

"One visit to this church and I was hooked. I went to an outdoor park event during the winter. This church was there with warm smiles and hot chocolate. Since then, I have been attending this church and their mission and vision are community centric and Christ focused. The pastor, elders, and deacons are all for the well-being of the congregation, its members and guests. You're not just another number there, everyone is prayed for! This church is definitely worth the visit."

The pastor and elders are encouraging and loving, the deacons are constantly taking care of and praying for the members of the church, and the people are welcoming and loving. "God will reveal in his time. This church is full of amazing, loving and God fearing people with a pastor with a beautiful family that does great Bible lead teaching. I would recommend just sitting in the pews to hear the word of God through the pastor, get to know the great people that go there and build relationships with those people but not do much of anything else. And certainly don't do or say anything that would make the older white gray haired women Elder upset, and if you disagree with her just keep your mouth shut. Your life will be much easier and you can continue going to a church you love without weird vibes and hostility!"
