"Classic case of fraud/intentional material misrepresentation (they lie about how much you actually have to pay on first day move in until after you’ve been approved/signed the lease.) I experienced this the beginning of 2023 when I had to find a new place in a very short amount of time—I’m only just now giving a review because I just saw another case similar to mine on social media, except the tenant knew what the terminology and supreme court law was for it. I didn’t. I have text evidence going back and forth with Simon Lee about the discrepancy between what he told me when I was touring the apartment (and asking the same exact questions I was having him clarify..AGAIN) and what he told me after I had applied and been approved. It was double the amount he had told me when we were physically in the apartment and I asked him “what exact amount would you need by the time I needed to move in?” He even had the lease written out and everything because I was under the impression of the first amount and I remember signing it because I made him respond back in writing with confirmation that the lease was void. We should never have gotten that far if ANY type of expense was unclear before then. I 100% believe he just knew I was on a time limit and was hoping for desperate acceptance. He just picked the wrong one unfortunately ! Financial predators just living in the skin of landlords/property management."
