"I think the staff were very professional and the facility was ran with respect for privacy for the patient and family. One thing my child mentioned during their stay was the different coping skills used and she really enjoyed the animal therapy sessions."

"I am a former patient from back in 2013, and one of the girls reported to her therapist that a staff member was having an inappropriate relationship with another patient. Turned out it was going on. The staff member would call and pretend to be a family member just to talk to her. The staff never asked for the phone password. He would let her stay up late. The resident and the male staff member ended up getting married Do not send your child here. It is a waste of money and time."

"Don't think I've ever been more depressed. Staff were extremely rude and not understanding. Every day is living hell. They strongly discourage you from talking to others, getting in trouble gets you sent to your room the rest of the day. Every day I wanted nothing more than to just die."

"hi. i wrote about heartland 4 months after i was discharged, and here i am again. i was in heartland for almost six months. december 22 marked a year for me, and for my family and i that was huge. id like to thank a few staff, because in my opinion, they don't get enough appreciation. so to kyla, cody, keylee, and ronald, you guys saved me. i was really at my lowest point in heartland and you guys are honestly a huge part of the reason im still here today, and i can't thank you enough for that. i never thought i would be able to say im a year free from hospitals. that im a year clean. that heartland actually helped me. but here i am. saying it. i know you guys would be so proud of me, and i think of all of you every single day. i miss you guys so much and what you did for me. im so glad i get to be a success story from heartland. im a sophomore now and looking into jobs (lord help me) and im really looking into working at heartland when i get older. nobody will ever understand what this place did for me, and what you guys did for me. and for that, you guys deserve the world.
