"We just stayed at Harper Valley over the 4th of July 2023 holiday in Cabin 8. We also used slip 8 for our boat. The cabin was remodeled and was very nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. We used the pool and fire pit and were steps from our boat slip. The resort is in a quiet cove but right next to the Kimberling City cove with a marina to eat and fuel up. We will be back to Harper Valley again hopefully next year!"
"We booked a stay at Harper Valley in April for a 4 day stay in Aug 2022 My husband and I had stayed here previously several times with the previous owners. ( along with many of our family members booking as far back as 20 years ). We always enjoyed our stays and if we did have a complaint it was addressed with the couple that owned the resort before it was sold. We spoke to Denise ( with new owners) numerous times before arriving We arrived on a Thursday and we’re in complete shock when we entered the cabin . It was a complete disaster. The carpets and furniture were filthy, the curtains did not cover the windows. The furniture in all the rooms looked like it was picked up on the side of road.The bathroom had paneling coming off the walls with black mold on ceiling. We also had NO lock one of the doors to the cabin. The refrigerator was so filthy we chose not to use it. I was so embarrassed and mortified- we had invited friends to come along. ( we ended up leaving 1 1/2 days early. I sent all my concerns and complaints ( along with pictures) to Denise. She didn’t even bother to acknowledge. We will NEVER book again at Harper Valley ."
"If we could've gotten a refund we would've!!! The owner WILL NOT answer the phone or texts. The parking lot has big rocks in it so of your unsteady be careful. Took several days to get the laundry room code. It's not directly on the water as shown in pictures but it is right down the hill. The playground needs updated and the pool only has ladders. The place itself isn't all that bad but the lack of communication made things much worse."
