"Been here several times in years past. This year's was fairly disappointing. Failing A/C, a nasty wasp infestation in the soffit of our cabin, and pronounced unevenness in contacting resort personnel made this the least pleasant visit yet. We really love the quiet location and the local Shell Knob community. So hoping the resort gets the attention and upkeep it's unique location so deserves. Maybe next year..."
"We had our family reunion at Amber Acres in June of 2013. A total of 21 of us stayed. All 21 would agree that Amber Acres was one of the best places, if not the best place, we have ever had our family reunion. Evan and Sabra are phenomenal hosts, The view was incredible, and the location was close enough and far enough to be just right. A few family members had to stay down the road at Big Creek and were very envious of our cabins and the friendliness of the staff at Amber Acres. If we ever make it back to Shell Knob there is no doubt we will be staying at Amber Acres!"
