Executive Chef Laura Comer, a Kansas City native and award-winning chef, leads the culinary team at Founders' Lounge. With a background in both sweet and savory kitchens, Chef Comer has worked at nationally acclaimed restaurants and is a Certified Sommelier. The restaurant is presented by Premier Partner Saint Luke's Health System and is committed to using high-quality ingredients while being mindful of dietary restrictions. Please note that the kitchen commonly uses wheat, dairy, soy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts is dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences for patrons.

"Okay food. Convenient location. Steak frites and Parmesan French fries both tasted microwaved. The caprese salad was burrata with tomato and peach. Excellent. Service was great. The bartender was slammed yet kind to everyone and patient. Price was $80 for three glasses of red, a lot of fries, steak frites and a caprese salad."

"The menu consists only of a few snacks that require either no cooking or heating up in a microwave. Cocktails were low quality despite the Vegas price points. Ordered the same one twice and it came out completely different. “Dining Experience” is a misleading name if you only serve dips, crackers and a few desserts. The view is nice."
"What an amazing experience! My party of four enjoyed drinks and an early dinner before a symphony performance. The service could not have been better and the atmosphere was classy yet cozy. The view out the Kauffman windows was spectacular as always. We enjoyed a three-course dinner and enjoyed every mouthful. The servers did not hover but were always available for anything we needed. Menu is interesting and well prepared. I will definitely be back again."
