"We sat at the chefs counter which was a lot of fun. There was a nice warmth coming off the hearth and the chef preparing food in front of us checked in to see how we were enjoying ourselves. The drinks and food were amazing. The cocktail ‘La repose’ and the espresso martinis are a must! The lobster toast was delicious! We had the strip and duck for entrees are both were cooked to perfection The tropical cheesecake was delicious. We will be back!"

"Unique place with a evolving menu. Classy atmosphere. Drinks are wonderful and unique. Prices are expensive for small plate service, however the quality of the food is superior than most others."

"Came here for restaurant week. Ordered the lobster toast and the lamb. Both were good. The sticky toffee pudding was the best part though."

"We were absolutely blown away by this restaurant. First of all, it is located on the ground floor of the iconic Kansas City club building. The lobby and the entire first floor are still full of the original charm. My husband, son, and I celebrated a wedding anniversary and we could not have been happier. The menu is set up as a series of small plates. Every single course that we ordered was better than the course before. The three of us were constantly telling each other how this was the best—-we had ever had. The service was outstanding, but not intrusive. The restaurant was intimate and had a wonderful vibe, a great mixture of mid century modern with historic windows, paneling, etc. There is also a full bar/speakeasy in the basement which we visited. At this moment, I believe this is our favorite place to eat in all of Kansas City."

"If you're ready to wait until you fall asleep, this is the place for you! Food was amazing. Like unbelievable. Service MEDIOCRE at BEST. Didn't ask for drinks.... Then when I asked for them, forgot them. But at least apologized that it wasn't run. Timing is AWFUL. We sat at 7pm. 3 appetizers came out by 745pm. Sooooo we then waited 30 min for the 2 entrees. We DID order dessert which was another 45 min. Total dining time (with my mom) was 2 hours. Otherwise food was great."
