"Terrible customer service! I purchased a sump pump and returned it the next day after realizing the pump doesn’t work very well. I went to exchange it with who I assume is the manager of the store. He wasn’t very friendly and immediately asks me if the box was opened, I told him yes, and he tells me there is a 20% restocking fee!!! I have never in my life experienced something like this! I have taken many things back to other stores and never had to pay a restocking fee. He told me that they get people using items and returning them. He was obviously immediately suspicious of my intentions whenever I refused to exchange the item. I have no need for this cheap harbor freight pump! I went to Lowe’s and purchased a Zoeller pump prior to coming in. I have no intentions of setting up a sump pump to suck out water to return the pump and then do it all over again when it rains, that’s crazy!! I just want a pump that’s quality and will actually pump the water out correctly. I guarantee I won’t buy another tool from Harbor Freight again. I’m out over $16 for that fee!!!"
