"We wanted authentic BBQ and we found it. Tiny place but the food was exceptional. I had grill cheese brisket with beans and potatoes salad. The toast was toasted nicely the brisket was melt in your mouth good.. the baked beans were the best I have ever had, smokey flavor but not over done with a little spice at the end that stays with you. They put smoked turkey and smoked brisket in the beans. My daughter got the brisket cheese steak and it was piled high and delicious. Friend got the original Philly cheese steak and said it was really good too. My other friend got spicy wings. But meaty wings and they give you four which is enough for one person they use a dry rub and she said they were excellent.. But the Fries are to die for the spice they put in them you will not want to dip them in anything. If you are in Kansas City Mo. You really should try Taste of Kansas City BBQ. Forgot to say how friendly the service was and the regular are friendly too."
"This is exactly what we were looking for. Good Bbq! Coming from Idaho we just wanted some good BBQ food. Taste of Kansas City was just that. Very good and super friendly service. And then 12/31/2023 we found their food truck at the Chiefs tailgate party. Even better!"

"The reviews were spot on for this place!! I was intimidated to enter due to the restaurant seeming more like a house entry. I felt like I should have knocked first, ha! The smells are delicious! I liked being able to see into the kitchen area and notice clean habits while preparing food! Service was great! I received a delicious burger and fries and enjoyed every last bit of it … but I could have sworn I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Nevertheless I took it as a happy accident and left pleased and full! I don’t think a single item here would be “bad” and I felt lucky to have the opportunity to enjoy a meal at a great restaurant!"
