"Just bins and bins of used parts . My brain was exploding on how many bikes I could build on a budget . Started a single speed project for my son . And many used bikes ready to go . Perfect location . Very chill bike shop atmosphere."

"Friendly and bright environment! When bringing my bike in to repair myself, I was offered free use of the space, tools, and advice. With the addition of excellent prices for used parts, I will certainly be coming back."

"So I joined. Community is the key to everything going on in this small bike shop. Questions answered, small parts all available and a DIY service area and tool library at the ready. Used and new with experts literally waiting for us to ask. Believe it. This is our amazing Eugene. Dedicated to keeping us outside on our bikes and ready to talk us through. “I just want to… but I don’t know how.” So the service tech/neighbor/great person stays a while to show me how. And how to do that and that, too. Awesome. $12? That’s all? Yeah. “Come back anytime and we’ll work on the…” Wow. Ok. Thank you so much."

"I really love the concept of having another Community bicycle center in town. I'm having a hard time getting behind them just because their prices are shifty. On multiple visits I've been quoted prices that seem on the high side especially considering, to my understanding as a non-profit, the majority of parts are donated. I can't bring myself to pay $15 or $20 for a used tire that you can purchase brand new for about the same price or a couple dollars more. I also find it frustrating that there's really no designated person who greets and says hello and welcomes people and can give prices and quotes for services consistently. When you go in there it's a bit of a hodgepodge of people from volunteers to people working on their bikes and it doesn't really feel like there's any sort of spokesperson there who can take charge and give prices and answer questions. I was in recently trying to buy some components and this one guy, I don't know if he was volunteer I don't know if he was just working on his bike or if you work there but he was really talking to me and kind of a condescending tone not really helping my situation any but made me feel like I was not welcome there just by the way he was talking to me. I remember our previous Community bicycle center was so thorough about their pricing they always made it affordable for everyone no matter what your background was. And if you couldn't afford a fancy component, there was always something that you could afford. I want to support the shop and I want to be a loyal customer and member of the bike shop but, I just want to see more consistency and prices and some designation as to who's in charge and being able to help people with answers instead of just standing there feeling lost as to who to talk to. I'm looking forward to shift Community Cycles being a long time member of our community and I hope that they find their footing and really serve those of us who are out there riding our bicycles everyday for health reasons, for financial reasons and for environmental reasons and any other reasons that make us feel good. Thank you"

"This happy smile is brought you by Shift Community Cycles! Nessa helped us find this awesome bike and made sure it was completely ready for my girl to cruise. The expertise and care from all the staff was exceptional and they didn't begrudge us our silly questions at all. Highly recommend this wonderful organization!"
