"Highly unprofessional, Dave cops an attitude at the drop of a hat, I don't have time for insecure, crotchety old farts.... Go to McCluskey. The picture is how I received the gun, after bringing it into have a handspring fit -Valuable 1851 Colt Navy. Dave completely disassembled my firearm after copping more attitude because I became uncomfortable with his lack of professionalism and wanted to pick it up (in a timely manner) He was told to give an estimate before starting any work. He literally removed every single screw. I brought to McClusky afterwards, and they offered to reassemble and fit handspring at no charge after hearing what I put up with."
"I had my 1100 barrel modified here. Low overhead, no bells or whistles here, just fast, fair priced, and impeccable old school service. Dave is friendly, honest, professional and very interesting. The phrase "if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life" must apply to him."
"Brought in a 1911 for trigger work. Works out of shed behind his garage. Took a week and doubled the price on me during pick up. He didn’t do anything to the firearm, just tool my money and during testing i had misfeed issues. He doesnt look spry at all and actually i was concerned that i may not get my firearm back if he passed away Would not recommend. You’re firearm is not safe there"
