"What can I say about Dr. Conway and Piercey Neurology? She is disgenuine and very quickly goes from helpful to dismissive and negligent. Her reception and billing staff (Michelle, we are talking about you) have consistently lied to my wife who has been desperately pursuing a rare undiagnosed condition. Michelle has lied to us about consults, insurance, paperwork, specialists, and more including falsifying paperwork regarding consults, and doing everything she could to sabotage our efforts for medical assistance, and after all that, gave us a swift kick to a different specialist once we started asking for some accountability. Just another business that is concerned much more about their bottom line and billable hours, than they do your very life. Your life is nothing but a game for them and they will play it until you are in a very precarious situation. You need to record every conversation with the doctors and staff so you can report it to the OHA, and generally just don’t waste any of your time or effort with these unethical, prejudice, money-hungry gremlins. God forbid any of them need medical services and receive the same care. Oregon medical systems are decaying and it seems they are happy to let the rest of the population decay with them. Please save yourself the heart ache, wasted time, and lost money. They do not care about your life. You are insignificant to them."
"Oh, MY!! The quality of care and service here has drastically gone down in recent months. There is no doctor on staff at this location in the office anymore. The practicing doctor is only available for remote appointments, and only once a week--as the Dr. is located out in Texas. The only upcoming available appointments are in 2024. I can't even imagine what the intake process is at this point for new patients. Good luck if you need to make a change to your migraine care any time in the next year! Just cut your losses and get on at another neurology office!"
"They make you jump through a million hoops before they will even talk to you about getting an appointment. Once you finally get approved for them to accept you, they can't even fufill the appointment. The wait list is a year or more out! This was a waste of my time and my doctor's to get a referral here, especially when someone is in need of important medical care. There was not much consideration on their part in communicating appointment availability with patients already suffering from such a debilitating issue as migraines. Save yourself the time (and migraines!!!), just get referral to a neurology office actually makes the effort to see you and values your health."
"Staff lost my original referral to the practice. When I called in to follow up I was rudely told that I need to have a referral from my doctor and needed to talk to them before the clinic would do anything or talk to me any further about scheduling an appointment. I explained that I had a referral already, and was told simply "Well, I don't see it." After this I reached out to my PCP doctor (again). Their office reached out to confirm that there was a referral. I had to call the neurology once again to confirm that they had received the referral and it was confirmed that they had "found" it. I asked to have the "new patient intake" packet sent to me. Never received that. Called again--this time the staff tells me that I should have downloaded from the website and that they didn't send it out. After all this length of time, I am finally able access the required paperwork. Once I had filled out the paperwork and faxed it to the office, I receive a phone call--I am told that my referral has expired because I "didn't adhere to the timeline to submit my paperwork" to them. The staff member then goes on to say that "I didn't seem interested in getting the paperwork to them" and that "most people do it right away." I am then I am told that they wouldn't even be able to book an appointment until a year out even if they accepted me--that the primary doctor is going on maternity leave and that somebody surely would have told me this in a previous phone call. They did not. All-in-all, my interactions with staff were laden with misinformation, poor coordination between staff, and a generally condescending attitude. As someone who has suffered with severe migraines the entirety of my life, I found the blasé and condescending attitudes of the people I spoke with reminiscent of the migraine shaming and apathy I've encountered so many times before the validation brought to me by my "official diagnosis" many years ago. Ultimately, I will be connecting with my doctor again to receive a new referral to neurology for what will be only a simple refill request. I will be begging my doctor to refer me any office other than Piercey Neurology. Not that they have any appointments to offer for the next year anyway, so I'll probably end up saving myself some time even considering that I will need to start the process all over again at a different clinic."
