"When I arrived at this CVS pharmacy for my flu shot appointment, I found the entire pharmacy was closed! CVS had sent appointment reminders but no notification that my appointment had been cancelled. It turns out Target, in which this pharmacy is located, also had no prior notice of the day’s closure. Hours later, I received a general email from CVS indicating that my appointment had been cancelled but offering no meaningful explanation or apology- just an invitation to reschedule. Really? Regardless of the reason for the closure, CVS had a responsibility to contact those with appointments in a timely manner to cancel and reschedule, and should have a system in place for letting the public know they are closed, and when they expect to reopen. A pharmacy/ vaccination clinic can have a significant impact on people’s lives, by what they do or don’t do. As for me, I have a new appointment elsewhere."
