Emerson Hardwood Co, located in Portland, Oregon, is the Pacific Northwest's complete hardwood resource. With over a century of experience, we are a leading distributor of fine quality domestic and imported hardwood and softwood lumber. Our company consists of 4 divisions operating from 7 locations in Oregon and Washington.
We stock a comprehensive selection of hardwood and softwood lumber, plywood, veneers, flooring, decking, and mouldings. Our wholesale supplies are available to contractors and retailers, with designer showrooms open to the public for product selection.
Crosscut Hardwoods, known as "the woodworker's candy store," is our specialty hardwood store with locations in Portland, Seattle, and Eugene. Our own Molding and Millwork department, EM2, produces custom moldings and millwork products.
Established in 1907, Emerson Hardwood Co has evolved from manufacturing oak lumber and flooring to becoming a wholesale distributor of lumber, flooring, and plywood. As a fourth-generation family-owned business, we are committed to innovation and sustainability in the hardwood industry.
Our future plans include investing in state-of-the-art millwork and moulding manufacturing facilities to ensure the highest quality products for our customers. We are dedicated to sourcing from sawmills that practice sound forestry management for the social, economic, and environmental sustainability of hardwood forests both domestically and abroad.

"Beyond rude. As a company owner I can't imagine being so curt and dismissive. We bought 4 gallons of Bona BonaSeal at their recommendation for the footage we were using it for and we only needed 2 gallons. I called to see if they would refund or give me store credit for the 2 gallons we didn't use and they said no and basically hung up. My husband is a general contractor and has used Emerson before but this was for our personal home and we will NEVER use them again!! We went to Cascade Pacific Floor Distributors the next time our company needed hardwood flooring products and we were helped by Mike Simmons and he couldn't have been more helpful and professional!"
