"I’m so glad I came here to take a lesson. The owner is a great instructor because he makes you feel comfortable in the ocean and actually teaches you how to read the waves and understand where to go. I’m definitely coming back to learn more ! Also, Russell fitted me perfectly for a wetsuit and my first soft top board, in which I was able to get up and ride very quickly after the lesson. I would say if y’all really want to get into this sport, go see him! He’s an expert at teaching plus getting you all the beginner gear you need. "My friends and I rented surfboards, wetsuits, and booties through South Beach Surf Shop. Russell (shop owner and surf expert) outfitted us with gear and lent us a temporary roof rack. He enthusiastically answered all our questions and shared helpful local knowledge. We spent a full day out on the Oregon Coast and our rentals worked fantastic.
