"We had a perfect experience at the Sunrise Cafe today. Couldn’t help feeling nostalgic, as if Andy Griffith was going to come through the door any second. It’s not like anyone’s trying for the throwback effect—just that this place is the real deal. The menu is quite extensive and the two cooks, visible from our seats, seemed like real pros. Service, staff, food were all a cut above. Christian was our waiter, got everything right, anticipated our needs and was great throughout. We have a farm house and barn property down the road that we VRBO. We passed by this place for the past two years, whenever we’re in town from our home in Southern California. Glad we stopped in. Our guests will want to know about the Sunshine Cafe."
"A classic American diner vibe with excellent service & sizeable portions. I’m a local to Dexter for two years & finally stopped at this Pleasant Hill Classic with some friends. One friend ordered a Mediterranean scramble and loved it, I got the Philly cheesesteak and it was delicious. The hot chocolates are MASSIVE! Be warned. The service was amazing and our waitress tended to us with speed and grace, even while training a new hire. The food is definitely soul food vibe && a sweet spot indeed."
"Great little stop on Highway 58, in Pleasant Hill. Enjoy a small-town diner feel, with friendly wait staff. The meals are nicely portioned and very yummy. The Biscuits and Gravy were scrumptious along with a nice German Sausage. Looking forward to stopping by again."
