"UPDATE: 9/20/2023 - I had the pleasure of working with Precision Auto Care again as the new engine they previously installed was due for it's 500 mile break-in oil change. I was easily able to request a scheduled appointment online and was prompted contacted and appointment arranged. When I brought the vehicle in, I mentioned a few other items I noticed a recent trip, Mitch and team were prompt to check on those items and report back. I received multiple progress updates by phone during their work. Most notably, the specific oil to be used was in transit up from Albany, OR to Salem. They were experiencing a delay and Mitch was sure to keep me updated and formulate a plan based on its eventual arrival. The oil arrive minutes before closing and Mitch called and said to head on down and he'd get the oil in and stay until I was able to come pick it up - which respected the fact they knew I was headed out of town and otherwise wouldn't be available for another week to pick it up. ORIGINAL Review ~4/2023 It was an ultimate pleasure working with Precision Auto Care (which came as a referral from a close friend). Mitch's knowledge and expertise in mechanics and helpfulness with the entire process of ordering a replacement engine for a 1974 Chevy G20 van was paramount to a successful endeavor. I'm more than pleased with the results, the communication from the shop with all the details. I look forward to using Precision Auto Care for any future needs."

"I have been taking my vehicles to Mitch at Precision Auto Care since at least early 2016. He and his crew have never let me down. I NEVER get a blank stare in response to my descriptions of any difficulty or “strange noise” I can describe – they just fix it. AND, I can expect an understandable explanation for everything they do. Today’s visit was typical – my only symptom was “a weird noise” that was new. Everybody at the shop had a listen and one even rode with me so I could say, “There! That! That’s the noise.” They tracked it down to the A/C and had it fixed and running smooth & quiet again in a single morning. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my vehicle repairs."

"Went in to get my car diagnosed with a rattle, I also knew I needed a new battery soon. Diagnosis: Water pump needed replaced, Drive belt was cracking and needed replaced, and idler pulley. and of course battery. Mitch quoted me at 6hrs plus parts at a whopping $1700.00. When I told him I would be coming to pick up my car, he advised against it saying my parts could just "fall out" if I drove it. I know I'm a 30yr old female but come on man I told him I would be getting other quotes and he said, they needed an extra day to even "put it back together". And that he would be charging me a deposit to guarantee I bring my car back. As if I had some sort of contractual obligation to use his services and pay his outrageous prices. I told him I will pay for his diagnosis and that is all. In the end I ended up buying the manufactured parts from the Toyota DEALERSHIP paying $330 for parts including antifreeze, $100 for battery and $300 in labor to another mechanic. When I picked up my car I told him what I paid for parts he said "well I gotta make my money too". In my opinion this man is a complete scam artist. Even with his diagnostic fee I ended up paying less than half of what he wanted to charge me. Do not take your car here. Not sure who needs to hear this; I see a lot of positive reviews here. But I can only speak from my own experience"
