"I just graduated from the Saturday Fundamentals program. Right after I started going to Heritage, I got hired to design a restaurant. I can tell you that the education from Heritage is truly applicable to the industry and job as an interior designer and I experienced that first hand. After completion, I have more confidence as a designer, sales person, and speaker. Teacher Janis is an amazing human being. Her enthusiasm for design is infectious. She has such a vast and in-depth knowledge of furniture pieces, history, vocabulary that she could teach a whole segment on that alone. She makes learning fun and was a resource for me while I went along on my real life project. If you are fortunate enough to spend time around Stephanie, the owner of the school, you will see that she has much knowledge to impart - in design but also in marketing. She truly cares about her students and is showing that by meeting with me post graduation to help me make a killer portfolio for job applications. Not a lot of business owners would take time away to do that. If you've been considering, I would recommend taking the plunge. One note: if you do the Saturday course, there are only a few opportunities for vendor visits - which are really fun. This is because the Saturday course is a bit shorter. The weekday course has Thursdays dedicated to vendor visits so if that is important to you then the weekday course is better in that regard. However, the school makes the Thursday visits available to ALL students, so I was able to make it to some of those which was great. Recommendations: Take AutoCAD alongside your Fundamentals course. It is going to make your final project SO much easier and save you loads of time PLUS it's a valuable and hirable skill."

"Heritage was one of the greatest educational experiences I’ve had thus far. The administration was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout my year attending They worked with me to organize and register for my final classes before I gave birth to my daughter. They also allowed me to zoom in for my final portfolio presentation due to having a 2 week old at home. I cannot thank Amy White and Nicole Hawkins enough for all their help while I was attending. But the biggest asset to Heritage is Janis Howard. Saturday fundamentals could never be what it is without her. She absolutely pours her heart and soul into her students. Her vast knowledge and connections to the interior design community is a huge benefit to her students. I felt confident leaving this class with a full set of tools in my belt. And knowing I would be able to reach out to Janis for anything I would need in the future. She is not only a one of a kind instructor, but a kind and thoughtful human being. She brought together a group of 10 women who to this day still celebrate major milestones with one another. I have and will continue to recommend the masters certificate program at Heritage."

"My experience, at heritage has been nothing short of life changing. The instructors and the staff truly care about their students, not only in the classroom but about their future. The curriculum is current and relevant to the industry, and equips you with everything you need for what ever Avenue you decide to peruse in the design industry.
