"We received an email within 5 days. All questions answered, paperwork was clear and easy to complete. I have lived in Astoria in the past, and had a family member live at this property for years. We have many family memory and celebrations utilizing the 4th floor clubhouse. My husband and I are excited to be on the waitlist."
"We recieved a phone call grom Gateway after waiting 3 months for a response. Our goal was to find affordable living in a senior enviroment close to our hospital and doctors. We know this is not a care facility, and did not expect that, rather we wanted to cut down mileage for appointments, live in an equipped place for handicap access, and be with folks in our age group. The intake person was more interested in learning about our finances rather than our situation. She was impersonal, curt and all we heard was, "sorry, you are slightly above our income requirement". End of conversation! This is why so many folks are living in RV's, in their cars or on the streets. There needs to be common ground here, compassion, understanding, and helping people in need. This is a sad element in our society, "sorry"..... Really?? Thanks, but no thanks, our search continues."
"Worst management company and office lady Jane is very unfriendly. I lived there for four years and it was great at first then a new management company took it over and it went down hill from there. Be aware!!!!"
