Astoria Riverwalk Inn

"I generally do not stay in ‘motel’ style (outward facing access doors) stops, but was very pleasantly surprised by this one. The view on the marina is very nice, there are balconies for each room, and the room itself was quite clean. Water pressure was great, lots of good hot water, quite sizeable fridge that actually kept things cool (ice from the ice machine stayed frozen the entire time we were here when we put it in the fridge). Various pillows ranging from lower height to fluffier made sleep time go very smoothly, and it is very quiet here. Add to that the fact that the staff is very friendly and the reasonable rates, I would recommend this location for a stop in town. As others have commented, this isn’t exactly located in the ‘heart’ of town but if you’re willing to drive 5 minutes you’ll be right there. Easy."

"We stayed here on 3/2/24 Saturday & Sunday . We booked for one night on Expedia . When I booked our room I specifically paid for a pet free room ( which we did not get upon arrival ) after a long day of sight seeing and dinner , we got back to our room late in the evening , although I was pretty upset about getting a pet friendly room , I was Tom tired to move our things and ask the front desk for help switching rooms . We traveled from out of state so we were exhausted . As I was getting ready to take a shower , I was absolutely disgusted by the bathroom , the shower had hair all in it and there was someone’s electric toothbrush left behind in the shower on top of the soap dispensers . I couldn’t believe the filth that was in that shower , knowing for sure it wasn’t cleaned with the toothbrush left behind from the prior person .. I was so bummed ."

"The deceiving description before you book is quite different from what you actually get. Yes they have a “smart tv” but does it actually work to get apps ? ..NO. You get basic cable. Yes they have a breakfast but what do you consider breakfast? No meat and no hot eggs? Dry bread? This is it for you. Yes they say room with a “water view”. I got a room on the side with a view of mostly lumber trucks and a little water. lol Staff was nice, but this place needs some serious updating. I booked for 2 nights and tried cancelling for second night, but it was non refundable. Got stuck. Lucky I was busy sightseeing. Wouldn’t book again."

"Was quite impressed. The rates are extremely affordable. While the rooms are a bit dated, it was extremely clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was week stocked and very tidy. The balconies over the water are an excellent perk."
