Valvoline Instant Oil Change

"I have been going here with multiple vehicles for years, and I will not be going back. Last oil change I got ended up resulting in throwing me an engine code, many hours of troubleshooting, replacing other parts and taking my car to my mechanic of all things. The result a collapsed oil filter with the center housing cylinder literally missing never put back in, which caused low oil pressure. $300 later my Tundra is fine but not due to wasted time and money. It only takes one mistake to ruin your vehicle, go elsewhere…"

"Fast, friendly service. I get my oil changes here regularly. However, I always have a coupon, but it's always a different total in the end each time. I'm guessing their prices go up and down? I'm not sure. Overall, my favorite place for oil changes. Definitely beats making an appointment, then waiting an extra 2-3 hours!"

"Positive Experience. One curious thing though: As I was filling out my survey giving rave reviews, the survey asked why I didn’t get my radiator checked. Funny, as I asked how the fluid level was and was told: “It’s fine.” Apparently this was a recommended service, not suggested. I also did notice they didn’t ask about wiper blades, check lights as they used to. I was not particularly upset over it, just wondering. Otherwise, no issues related to the service provided."

"I used to work for Valvoline a few years ago, so although I’m sure some things have changed I doubt things did to a huge extreme. It felt like the guy at the window decided that I wasn’t really worth wasting time on. All he did was ask me for the oil I want and then left until it was time to pay. They didn’t check my lights, wipers, battery or air filter. They didn’t reset my oil light (I knew how to do it myself, fortunately). It was a quick service so I’ll give them that but I ended up just checking and changing things myself afterwards. In the end, they lost out on money that I would have paid for the convenience of not having to do it myself just because of assumptions or being in a rush."

"I normally come in for an oil change here and don’t have issues, but unfortunately the last time I came in I was turned away after being directed into a line. My truck happens to be burning a little rich and has a little blue puff when I accelerate sometimes so I know it’s nothing crazy (truck is 20 years old). The woman supervisor told one of the men working to tell me to leave and see a mechanic immediately for a blown head gasket.. I tried to explain it’s normal and I’ve gotten my oil changed fine there before and they talked to me in a derogatory tone and insisting I leave.. so I left panicked that my truck wasn’t in good condition to drive and went to a mechanic to find out I didn’t have a blown head gasket and that isn’t what the blue smoke means, they gave me an oil change with zinc additive, reassured me I was safe to drive and not to trust the person that said I had blown a head gasket again. Very unfortunate to have to take my truck elsewhere than the convenience of valvoline close by but I’d rather get correct information and services from a reliable and trustworthy source. I am no longer a returning customer at valvoline because of the lack of professionalism and I will no longer be recommending them."
