"We were happily surprised at this lovely campground. It was quiet and clean and a short walk to the beach. The walkway has been partially washed out due to heavy rains but everyone was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and the kids loved it."

"Title: A Serene Escape Visiting the Leo Carrillo State Park a few days after Christmas turned out to be a delightful experience that I highly recommend, especially for couples or families looking for a tranquil getaway. The atmosphere inside the cave is nothing short of relaxing and somewhat breathtaking. It's a unique environment where the hustle and bustle of daily life seem to vanish, replaced by an enveloping sense of peace. Its natural beauty, with its intricate rock formations and the gentle echo of waves, creates a mesmerizing backdrop perfect for spending quality time with loved ones. Whether you're exploring the area's natural wonders or just seeking a quiet spot to unwind, it offers an idyllic setting. It's a hidden gem in the area, ideal for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and their companions. In essence, the park is not just a destination; it's an experience that nurtures the soul and calms the mind. It's a must-visit for anyone in the area, promising a memorable time filled with beauty and serenity."

"Absolutely breathtaking views. Great beach area for the kids. Park staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a faucet to get the sand off your feet. Would be nice if they had showers."

"I went camping with my hubby for the first time. I got to use all my camping equipment. It was so fun, there are lovely campgrounds, with firepits and tables plus bathrooms are close by. Beach is across the st, with tide pools, caves to explore and many paths to walk bike and hike."

"A great place for families to gather and spend the day at. There are shower facilities as well. There’s a dedicated campsite should you want to campout. There’s free entrance and parking for military personnel (just be sure to bring your identification). There was a lifeguard on duty. Beach is kept nice and clean as well."
