"We had a cardiac echo done on our senior cat, and 2 weeks later I'm still trying to get a report from them. I've called 3 times requesting it, and was told the first time that it would take 2-3 days, the second time that it would be emailed to both me and our regular vet by the end of the day, and was told today that the report is locked on the cardiologist's screen and no one else can access it. The front office staff could also use help in the professionalism department. Apparently, the call in which I was promised to have the report by the end of the day wasnt even logged or passed on to anyone. We have cancelled our follow up appointment as this appears to be an ongoing problem with this organization."

"This vet center has been a wonderful experience in an often difficult circumstance. My cat has been experiencing heart failure, and first and foremost, this hospital has provided excellent care, communication and service. Everyone is so nice and easy to work with. The front desk staff are always so upbeat and helpful, the pharmacist is an absolute pleasure to work with and is very capable and kind and Dr. Orvalho is just wonderful. He takes the time to fully explain everything, walk through options and suggestions and he cares about how the animals is actually feeling, behaving and living and takes all of that into account rather than just looking at the numbers and facts alone. He is clearly very good at what he does, but he doesn't talk down at all - he allows you to feel that you are making a decision together. I'm so lucky I found this place and continue to be a happy client!"

"I highly recommend visiting UC Davis San Diego if your pet has kidney or heart problems. Don't rely on veterinarians who make general diagnoses without proper examination. Instead, bring your pet straight to UC Davis San Diego to have them check your pet. Yes, it may be more expensive, but it's worth it if you want to save your pet. Unfortunately, only a small percentage of veterinary clinics in the U.S. have the necessary equipment and tools to accurately diagnose animals. Most clinics rely on blood tests to make a diagnosis, which is often insufficient and can lead to unfortunate consequences or even death. If I had known this earlier, my cat would have lived much longer. The vets in Los Angeles misdiagnosed my cat. If only the veterinarians I visited with my cat had informed me that more extensive testing was necessary for an accurate diagnosis, I could have sought out a specialist earlier and it could prolonged my cat's life. Dr. Berlin at UC Davis San Diego was able to make the correct diagnosis for my cat's kidney issue because she had the necessary equipment and expertise. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Berlin, Stacy, and the other staff for their compassionate care of my cat, Trips."

"This is not the cheapest pet hospital you go to, but the doctors are the most experienced, knowledgeable, professional Vets I have met. My dog had issued with his knees and Dr.Kraska took the time to listen, review all of his documents and went above and beyond to figure out what was causing the intense pain my dog was experiencing. She took upon her to test her joint fluid where we understood my dog was suffering from poly arthritis. Something no other vet was able to understand. And I've been to 4other Vets, many specialty hospitals including VCA."
