"Everyone was so nice. I instantly knew my pup was in good hands. They took a lot of time in examining her and made sure to explain everything to me in a way I could understand. They were caring and patient."

"Been going here for many years. This is the second dog I take for his allergies and ears. Basset hounds are known for ear problems because they are long. Yeast and bacteria. My last basset almost went deaf but Dr. Rosencrans saved him from surgery and losing his hearing. Knowledgeable, well trained and serious about curing your dog or cat. Several doctors in the practice. Very busy location. They have multiple locations. It is very clean and nice. All staff enjoy your pet. Sometimes you have to wait for ur appointment but that is because the vet spends time with you. It is pricey. I don't know how it would compare to another of its kind."

"Violet the hairless skinny Guinea pig is so happy now that her skin isn’t dry and cracking to the point of bleeding. I love this vet dermatology clinic because they are professional and really know about skin treatments. They tested her skin and found out exactly what the problem was and how to treat it. No guessing which I liked! Violet is now happy and I never have to worry that she is ever in discomfort."

"5 stars for the level of care, compassion, and knowledge. 3 stars for the intake communication. Would we return? Yes. Would we recommend the clinic to others? Yes, BUT with a heavy caution about pushing for information regarding what to expect. When we originally booked the initial examination with our dog who was having extremely itchy skin, we were only told the examination alone would be at least $300. Once there, it was then highly encouraged to perform an allergy panel (apparently different than the panels conducted at the normal vet's office) that required blood-work, sedation, a 2.5 hour wait, and an additional $700 to complete. We had been to 3 different vet appointments, completed allergy testing, different medication courses, and different care plans to address this problem before coming here, so we thought we had already completed all the necessary allergy testing. We were also therefore feeling very desperate and emotional regarding the difficulty of managing our dog's condition. My husband, who brought our dog to the clinic, then had to decide with minimal processing time whether or not to agree to go through with the additional allergy testing. I want to clarify here, the issue is not the cost or what was involved with the testing. The frustration and irritation we felt was towards the fact that this allergy testing was made to sound fairly routine and necessary for a dog who is having itchy skin problems. Therefore, it feels like this is information that would have been beneficial and courteous to have let us know at the time that we scheduled the appointment; that although the best course of action would be determined by the examining vet at the time of the appointment, there is a possibility that an allergy panel requiring blood-work, sedation, a 2.5 hour wait, and an additional $700 cost would be recommended. Instead this information was sprung on my husband during the appointment. To be fair, they did offer to allow us to schedule the allergy panel at another time. But in the moment, my husband had to weigh the fact that he already took one day off work, already drove out to the clinic where our dog was stressed, already spent the $300 for the examination, and we had already waited a couple months for this initial appointment. We had already felt desperate, stressed, and awful about how horribly our dog had been feeling, and now we had an unanticipated extra 2.5 hour wait and extra $700 cost, plus whatever costs we would incur for the treatment following the test. Would we have gone with the testing anyways even if we had known about it ahead of time? Yes, because we wanted answers and to help our dog. But now instead of being able to take the time to discuss the options together, my husband had to make an unexpected decision with a large financial cost. So now instead of just feeling relieved that we have a course of action and more information, we are now also having to process the stress of a sudden large financial cost, a dog who now requires a little extra care due to the sedation, and an additional 2.5 hours of waiting. Which, again, we would have chosen this option had we been given a heads up, but we weren't given an opportunity to process and prepare for the possibility beforehand which amplifies the negative emotions felt with regards to our experience. So ultimately, would we come back? Yes. Would we choose to do the testing again? Yes. But we can't help but feel frustrated about the lack of communication and heads up about what to expect at this appointment, as well as feel frustrated about the unexpected burdens that came with the visit. Again, for good measure, we want to emphasize that this complaint is NOT about the staff (vet techs, receptionists, or doctors) at all. They were all exceptionally kind to our dog and knowledgeable, so they were very much worth the cost... but that is part of the reason why we wish the experience hadn't felt as burdensome or frustrating walking out the doors."
