NoVi

"Great Music, but Bad Bouncers & Dance Floor. I go to NoVi almost every Friday. Why do I go? Well; the main DJ is amazing and plays all the good music. And if you get there early (between 9pm and 10pm) it's pretty nice. But NoVi (at the Eldorado) leaves a lot to be desired, and fixed. The dance floor isn't polished (not easy to spin on, which can easily injure your knees) and it's often covered in spilled alcohol which causes it to be sticky. Then there's the combination of the Main vs. 2nd Bar, and the bouncers. They focus everyone to buy from the "Main Bar" which sits at that dance floor instead of ushering the patrons to the Second Bar which sits to the left. This means as everyone converges on the Main Bar the group gets bigger and bigger, meaning they encroach on the dance floor until it completely disappears, and those who have bought alcohol spill it everywhere. Additionally; the non-existent bouncer (or inexperienced bouncers) are sitting in the corners instead of keeping the stand-arounds and looky-lou's off the dance floor. Ultimately; If they were to make the bar on the left side the "Main Bar," get the bouncers to keep the Stand-Arounds at the edge of the dancing area, and polish the dance floor, it would be a 5 Star, Perfect place to make your second dance home."

"Went there on my 23rd birthday with my twin sister. Stayed in the club for a couple hours, had a good time. I decided to leave to smoke and when I came back the bouncer claimed my ID was fake. I told him that he was wrong and that it was my 23rd birthday. He kept insisting that I’d need to show him my actual ID. I repeated that he had my real ID. He told me he was confiscating my ID and if I didn’t leave he would have to call security. I told him if he was going to keep it then I will be calling the authorities. He laughed and called security saying that I was wrong. My sister found me and called for the manager. The manager realized that my ID was real but plainly said that I was no longer allowed back. He said he knew they were wrong, admitted, but wouldn’t “undermine” his staff for a mistake on their part. I do not recommend going based on the management and security realizing they’re mistakes but insisting they were correct and not doing anything to correct their behavior."

"I had fun the 2 times, once countrynite the other a banger dj. Both were good not too packed just why do they make club bathrooms so small in huge event spaces."

"They don't let Rowdy clientele in. It was techno the night I went. The club is crowded and racially diverse. Drinks are expensive, but you don't have a cover charge for the club, you gotta pay the dj somehow. The music was nice and loud like I like it.. The floor vibrates with the music like it should. I found a new favorite place. They also have two cute go go dancers that go all night.."

"Unfortunately, Novi is one of those places that loves letting people in based on their skin color. Mr. Alex at the entry checking my ID made sure that I am annoyed because he wouldn’t give my REAL ID back. And he says it’s your attitude I can’t let you in. Never going back, and congratulations on losing out on a bunch of customers."
