"I am utterly frustrated and disappointed with my experience at The Ridge at San Diego. Firstly, the management inexcusably delayed returning my deposit for over a month, and when I finally received it, they deducted $160 for "cleaning" despite immediately beginning renovations after my departure. The check included an unknown person's name, making it impossible for me to cash it without that person's presence. Throughout my year of tenancy, the administration was consistently unreliable. Promises like a guaranteed garage spot were broken, and my urgent maintenance requests were ignored for weeks. The apartment was in a state of disrepair, and amenities like the pool and jacuzzi were always dirty and non-functional. Moreover, the shared laundry facilities were a nightmare. The washing machines and dryers were perpetually out of order, and in the final month of my tenancy, not a single one was operational. Despite repeated complaints, the administration took no action to resolve these issues. In sum, my stay was plagued by unaddressed maintenance issues, broken promises, and a lack of basic amenities, making it an experience I would not recommend to anyone. The level of negligence and indifference from the management at The Ridge at San Diego is unacceptable and warrants serious reconsideration for anyone looking to rent there."

"Update edit: exterminator came 3-4 weeks ago, and roaches are back already. I constantly have to have someone in my home for this situation. Very frustrating and inconvenient. Currently living here.. two years now.. BELIEVE THE ONE STAR REVIEWS... There have been 3 owners since I've moved here if that's any indication of anything. 1. I've always had roach issues since I moved in. Granted the exterminator always came when requested but they ALWAYS came back. 2. Water leaks, and shutting off water unexpectedly at least once a week lately 3. I had to fight and threaten to handle it myself, to get my gutters unclogged because it was flooding my balcony . I couldn't use it for over 5 months. The floor of balcony is super warped now. They still charged full rent for that and tried to gaslight me saying I could not take it in my own hamds 4. The laundry rooms downstairs are horrible, constantly out of service. I have to walk around with my heavy laundry while my young child is in the apartment until I find a functioning machine. Laundry use is not free meaning I pay to get machine that isn't working well. 5. They are all for taking your money, but over all you have to fight to get anything done and it's super inconvenient if you have any sort of a life because they expect you to wait on them all day long. This place has so much potential if they put the right care into them BECAUSE the apartments are old, but it seems like buyers come and want to make money off of our backs while not giving appropriate living conditions, or conditions we pay for."

"Don't let these reviews fool you this place is like any other apartment building. Maintenance is always available when I need them with a request of course and do not let me get started with Vanessa she makes sure things are done and always is there to answer a call. These are old apartments so you'll see a spider or 2 and maybe a cockaroch but there is a pool here and they are water bugs but I haven't seen one ever in my apartment."

"I have been a resident of the Ridge for the past 12 years and since the new management company has been in charge there has been NOTHING good to say about the siuation here since they have been in charge (there was a leak and it required knocking a hole in the outer wall and after the completion of the work the hole was covered with cardboard and left that way with no word from management as to when or if the work on the wall would be completed) and now we have to look at that wall every time that we leave the apartment. I do not blame this on anyone but the new management because this has never happen before. This is supposed to be a gated community but since the new management has been in control the gate is open from 9AM until 5PM so please tell me what security do I/we have. I guess they will not renew my lease!!!"
