Embark Apartments

"My family and I lived here for 15 months. We moved in due to it being new construction and having a move-in special available. On our tour, the leasing agent was friendly and informative. She advertised the gym. the pool, the dog wash station, the bike lockers, the lounges and soon to be filled retail spaces. They gave us a discount for selecting a unit that faces Tavis Place Blvd because there is a shipping container yard on that side of the building. Upon move in, the unit was great. HOWEVER, no one warned us how ungodly LOUD it would be. Those shipping containers slam and scrap and grind all day and all night. We would be woken up at 3 AM sometimes. There is supposedly a "noise barrier" but it does not work. Be prepared for the fire alarms to go off every couple of weeks due to people smoking in the stairways or parking garage. Staff will send warnings via email about it but it will do nothing. The retail spaces were never filled in our time living there. I would guess they're still advertising it as "coming soon". Our car was stolen from the gated parking garage. They advertise "24 hour security" but it is remote monitoring via camera and if you call security, they are located in San Jose so be prepared for a 30-40 response time. The valet trash services is unreliable at best and you will often smell trash and see unidentifiable stains in the hallways. Dogs also pee in the elevator so prepare for strange smells there too. The staff in the front office was always friendly but you can tell this is a property management issue. The company that owns this place owns many. many others and they don't care about anything but making money. Upon move out, they charged us 230 dollars for a professional cleaning even though we left the unit clean. Not worth the price by a long shot."

"Horrible management. They look for ways to charge you penalties and not considerate at all. they charge money to generate parking tags for the guests. we have a newborn so my cousin drops by to help out. now we need to PAY for her parking everytime she visits. we stopped inviting people over because of the parking situation. this is not a hotel in LV or hawaii to make money off of parking.On top of all the high rent, they don't even have good security - many cars in the garage get broken into all the time. Homeless people wander in the staircases once in a while and they don't take any measures. Don't recommend."

"We are new resident at Embark but impressed and I’m very happy so far. The apartment unit is cozy (we got new carpet), quiet and clean. The rent office is friendly. The community is welcoming! Look forward to a happy experience!"

"Very comfortable! Super clean and fully equipped home and community. Gym and swimming pool areas are inviting. Common workspace is updated and chic. Apartment is full of light and built meticulously with modern fittings. Highly recommend Embark!"
