"It was a pleasure to meet nice people in the reception, they gave me good tips! It is a bit far away from the beach, however, if you have a car its not a problem at all. If you want, you can access also by public transport. Overall it was a nice place and experience."

"Booked this hotel for our quick weekend trip out to San Diego before the Thanksgiving holiday. Amazing location in La Jolla. Walking distance to everything: beach, restaurants, shopping, etc. The renovations to the property are great. New modern furniture, A/C, nice linens, and friendly staff. Highly recommend if you are looking for a hotel in the La Jolla area. Affordable rates. My only criticism (i.e. why not 5 stars) -and I know it's petty - but the new modern mirror for the rooms has LED lights behind the glass and a touch button for operation directly on the glass. This works great. But it always has a built-in nightlight that you CAN NOT turn off. When the mirror and sink are out in the main room it makes a very bright light at night when trying to go to sleep. Like a permanent blue hue to the room when all you want is darkness for sleep. Recommend bringing an eye mask if you need total darkness to sleep or are easily woken by light."

"Spent a few days here in September. Get the first floor room if you plan on using a bicycle to visit the beach and local shops. Can't stress enough how great the location is. Close to everything you need and world-class beaches. The hotel was recently remodeled, so now is a great time to visit. The hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. Family owned and a great value considering the area. Will definitely return for more "staycations" and enjoyed the peaceful nights."

"The receptionist and staff were so accommodating, flexible and friendly. The location is at a prime and ultra quiet spot, tucked in a spot around La Jolla that is away from tourist crowds. The decor is modern and chic and loved the shampoo SO much, I had to buy some. I surprised my partner for his birthday and the staff went above and beyond to making our stay a comfortable and homey one."
