"Needed to a place to go after our home burnt down and the Santa Barbara Extended Stay welcomed us with open arms. Everyone has been awesome.Sarah Brian & Will are the best. They have been so helpful when ever we need anything."

"The staff at this location is incompetent. We had a hotel reservation for our construction company crew that is working at this city so reserved from Monday 2/5 - Friday 2/9. We get in on Monday night, check in for the night , no problem. The next day our crew leaves for the day for work and when they come back, their room key does not work so here is where the problem starts. We ask the front desk for help and they said that we failed to check in the night before so our reservation was cancelled? How was this a no- show when we had our items in the room? after going back and forth and not getting any help at all, we basically got kicked out of the room in the middle of the night with no explanation given. We had to get escorted into the room to get our stuff and out we were. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS HOTEL."

""Sara", the person that checked me in, was fantastic. At least I think her name was Sara. She gets my highest praise. I travel a lot, and experience many varied lodging experiences. Sara was exactly the kind of person that you want as the face and first impression of a lodging and hospitality business. Pleasant without patronizing. Positive without any tone of artificiality."

"The check-in staff was friendly and attentive. The room was nice enough. The location is great because there is an In-n-Out right across the street. However, if you forget something in your room, don’t expect or even hope to ever see it again. Of all the hundreds of hotel stays I have had in the past 8 years, the first one I end up forgetting my toiletry bag in cannot find it. Not in the lost and found and not recovered by the cleaning staff. Yes, I should have made sure I had packed it, but that’s not the point. This stuff happens. It should be expected to happen from time to time… guests forget stuff. Stuff that should be returned and not kept or simply discarded. I will never stay at this hotel again. Or any other Extended Stay property. If they want to give me a hundred bucks for the items that were either kept or discarded, I may reconsider."

"So the reviews are bad. Not from us! Needed a place near Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara to stay while visiting an ill friend. Extended Stay fit the requirements. Near hospital. Room with kitchenette, great shower,utensils and cookware and toaster on request, full size fridge, stove, microwave. Free WiFi. Comfortable bed, free parking Clean. All checked! In addition was Sara, the front desk person. Super! Friendly, helpful, just perfect! The grab and go breakfast is just that. Little muffins, coffee, granola bars,little packets of oatmeal. Sure it has a popcorn ceiling in the living space…but that’s it. We stayed 3 nights and could not have been happier. Just our contribution. Good luck to you!"
