Baymont by Wyndham Fort Bragg at Oceanview

"Well, stay here if you have very low expectations. I love cool little hotels and stay at some pretty old and quirky places. I’ve NEVER had such a bad experience! All went fine other than the lack of shelving or someplace to actually put toiletries and such out, until late that night when I crawled into bed and the mattress smelled like pee. Yep. After showering I discerned exactly where the small spot of actual urine was and was able to avoid it and get some rest. Explained the situation and was moved to a new room. It was fine until again, realizing that the pillow cases were not clean! Used my own bedding and left as early as I could. Surprise souvenir, some kind of rash on the back of my neck. Seriously! This hotel was passable on the surface but so unsafe and unhealthy!! Be safe and book somewhere else in town!!"

"The single bed room was small but the fireplace made up for it. I like the feature that it didn't need to blow out heat. So you have that cozy atmosphere feeling with the fireplace and not suffer from the heat or the warmer nights of fall."

"5 STAR service from Maria!!! We booked this hotel due to the great central location as we could easily walk to restaurants. Maria at reception was very friendly and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. We were comfortable and happy in our room, and enjoyed a nice breakfast with homemade waffles in the morning:) Maria was especially helpful as I left a sweater in the breakfast room and only realised a few days after we left the hotel. We are from Europe and on and extended travel, so Maria kept my sweater for several months and then posted it to me. For me, that is 5 star service, above and beyond the call of duty! So I can highly recommend this hotel for many reasons: quality, comfort and exceptionally high service! Thank you Maria :))"

"Basic Roadside hotel. Highlight was a waffle machine in the included breakfast and that the room has a nice fireplace thing. Downside is that sadly the room was so small there was literally no where to put out our luggage, we had to block the door to open it, not great for emergencies. The mattress also didn’t cover the the frame. It also wasn’t super straightforward to us that the air conditioner unit is also a heater so it got cold. Fine for a night, but wouldn’t come here for more then a quick place to lay my head."

"The positive first: the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. On the negative side: our room was spartan. No decorations, no place to hang up clothing, shampoo in the tub that looked suspiciously like the hand soap (which looked suspiciously like dish soap), scratchy towels. They may as well say they don't offer breakfast because it was a waffle maker and basically nothing else. This is probably the least impressive Baymont property I have ever been in. You'll have a nicer stay elsewhere in Fort Bragg."
