Bayside Inn and Suites

"Weary traveler, If you're looking for a pet-friendly, reasonably priced spot to rest your head, this is not it. The front office folks are nice. But everything else goes downhill fast. When we walked in the room, it had the aroma of cigarettes and stale dirt. It's similar to the smell of those weird gas station hallways with the janitor closet, bathrooms, and employee exit. Now I'll admit, cleanliness is subjective - but when I say this place looks like it hasn't seen a broom or laundry soap in six months, I mean it. I've attached photos for your viewing pleasure. Our bed had mysterious, bleachy stains on the yellow top cover. Underneath, we found what I can only hope were dog pee stains. The decor was thoughtful, and mostly consisted of other people's hair. The bed frame was broken, causing that familiar midpoint sag of an old, well-loved mattress. While the remote worked, the TV didn't - so you can enjoy the cozy ambiance of winding down with your loved ones in front of your cell phone. As our stay came to a close, I discovered the cherry on top: the bath mat, which was stained with two grey footprints so massive, they might have come from bigfoot himself. As we can see in bigfoot's case, it's best to avoid walking barefoot in the rooms. I'd suggest scooting down the road to a chain hotel."

"This place needs work. Food is cheap and some items were spoiled. Rooms are dated and area is sketchy. The girl working the evening shift was the best part of our stay. She was super sweet and helpful. I think her name was Erica? Because of her hospitality is the only reason why I gave a 3 star for service.The guy who checked us in had had zero personality and appeared to hate his job. Other than that, we will not visit again. Not worth the money."

"Comfortable beds and plenty of space, with places to sit. Good standard of cleanliness. Shower was decent, if a little low for taller people. Air conditioning was reasonably quiet and nice to have. Fridge and microwave. Good value for money."

"I would stay here again due to the welcoming and friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms, free parking and the breakfast snacks provided in the morning. The only faults I would give is that the area didn't feel completely safe when we went out at night and the rooms could be updated to be a little more modern. However I did love the design of the bathroom and that the sink area was on the outside of the bathroom with lots of space to get ready. Other than these two things, the stay was brilliant. Even if I personally didn't feel safe in the area, I cannot deny the convenience of it as there were lots of places to eat and shop. Bayside Inn and Suites also has a pool, which we could not visit due to the season but this is a nice factor for people visiting in season. I can see a few people complaining about the breakfast but I personally thought some tea/coffee, fruit, granola bars and muffins was a nice little touch to pick up for free in the morning."
