"This hotel is so cool. I stayed here on my way up north from SoCal to Seattle and I wish I’d been able to stay more than one night. It’s a gorgeous building with a ballroom and vintage decor; it almost has a haunted vibe which I loved. If I were local I’d want to get married here. They are pet friendly too and allow cats; my baby girl loved looking out the big window in the room."

"It was a very quiet location. The hotel itself had a classic or old school vibe and charm. We visited during the non-touristy season, so a lot of the downtown shops by 6 pm. The staff communicated with us very well and all were extremely friendly and helpful. It was close to downtown shops and restaurants and within walking distance to everything you could want downtown. We'll definitely be staying there again when we make it back to Northern California."

"I loved staying at the Eagle House. Toni was so helpful and I’d give her 5 stars too. The Valentine dinner was delicious and the waitstaff were friendly and very efficient. I would definitely go back to the Eagle House and Tavern 1888!"

"If it wasn’t for Tony at the front desk we wouldn’t have got the room we wanted and then on top of it she recommended for us to eat at Tavern 1888, and made the reservations for us too!!! The food was delicious and we would have missed it all together!!! Thank you Tony for all the help. I love the history of this old hotel and the architecture of the other buildings as we walked around old town"

"Finding this place was better than I could imagine; I had never been to Eureka and wanted to stay somewhere with history, and this was the first place that seemed like the exact fit. The room was VERY clean, and the staff was amiable and helpful. The location is perfect, and you can walk to many stores and cafes without driving. Having a cute dog named Max behind the desk was also a bonus! 10/10 recommend."
