"I don't know what the local crime rate is , but when you see a hotel entirely encased in a fence with automatic coded gates you wonder about the safety of the area. Not to mention if you have dogs or service animals. There is absolutely nowhere and I mean nowhere for them. To go to the bathroom , you literally have to let them go in the parking lot on the concrete because you're locked in. Rooms need to be updated as well.. Would definitely recommend checking out other options if you are considering staying in this area. We only stayed there because of the choice points because we do collect them and use them. However for a choice motel this one is definitely sub par."

"Good location and nice rooms, with really comfortable beds. The staff is incredibly sweet and very kind. A half hour walk from Old Town, felt safe and secure. Continental breakfast in a nice bright room full of plants. Wish there were eggs at the breakfast, but there was cereal, oatmeal, biscuits, sausage, make your own waffles, juice coffee and tea."

"Usually don’t have a problem with choice hotels but this one was a bit less than desired. Room was fine but the bathroom just sucked. This was a night where a hot bath sounded great after hiking all day. Ended up not being able to relax though due to the drain stop leaking, loud toilet, and the light timer. In addition, the hotels location has a lot of “activity” outside its perimeter."

"My wife and I had a pleasant stay at Clarion Hotel. Check in was easy, staff was friendly, room was clean and spacious enough, breakfast was abundant with choices, we LIKED the gated parking lot. Folks are complaining(offended?) about the cannabis shop across the way, but there weren’t any issues. Also, there weren’t that many homeless people around the hotel? My wife and I saw, like, two. Some of these reviews make the neighborhood sound like 1980’s South Bronx, but it was fine. Everything was fine. The gym is definitely small, outdated, and some of the equipment doesn’t work, but I made do. For a budget friendly hotel, I would definitely stay here again!"

"If you ever considered living in a tiny house, this would be an excellent place to try it out! While comfortable, our king size bed was so close to the cabinet that held the refrigerator, we had "just" enough space for one person to walk between it. The door was too tight to open completely, and the refrigerator inside had a door that opened the opposite way. You had to "stand on your head" to try and see everything inside. Internet was terrible. I never really got connected. Breakfast was adequate, but not extremely hot. There was an iron fence all around the parking with a sliding gate and password, due to the neighborhood. A pot store was also across the street. . . Convenient? The room was clean and smelled like apricots (not overwhelming) which was nice. Bathroom was also extremely small, but had an area outside of the bathtub/toilet area for Keurig pot, sink, etc. There was a dark ring around the top of the sink, up under the rim, and the vent in the bathroom needed cleaning, but everything else seemed very clean. They gave extra towels when we requested them."
