"DAVE at quality inn salinas provided stellar customer service. We had small issue with a room he immediately accommodated us to a new room. STAFF provided us with toothbrushes and razors. Not to mentioned INN and out and Mcdonald right in front walking distance......"

"We reserved a handicap accessible room online but when we arrived, they didn't have one available. We were able to get a first floor for my handicapped father, so that was okay but still frustrating that we didn't get what we paid for. The room itself was not clean. The floor was dirty. The fridge was in bad shape. Worst of all, the comforter on one of the beds had blood on it in a few spots. The other bed's comforter had bodily fluids on it that looked fresh and unwashed. I asked for clean bedding from the front desk and received a blanket and a mattress pad, but not a comforter. I didn't want to cause any more of a fuss, so I settled with what I was given. When I went out to grab something from my car, I realized I'd forgotten to grab my key. I went back to my room and realized quickly that the door didn't lock, so I was able to get back into my room without a key. I was given room keys upon check-in but when pressed over the lock area on the door, there was no reaction. The door was able to be opened with or without a door key. I tried multiple times to troubleshoot the door by locking/unlocking the door on the inside but it didn't matter, it wasn't able to be secured. It was so disturbing. We had plans to go to dinner but didn't feel comfortable leaving our belongings in a room without a lock, so our evening was spoiled. One of us had to stay at the hotel and lock the door manually. Given the questionable neighborhood and very sketchy hotel guests, we were very disturbed by the nonworking lock. Quality Inn should be ashamed of itself for its apparent lack of interest in their guests' safeties. Literally the only good thing about the hotel was the location (just off of the freeway and across from an In-N-Out) and the breakfast attendant, who was friendly and went above & beyond to make us feel welcome in the tiny breakfast room."

"Front desk person was rude. Bird poop all over 2nd to 3rd floor stairs. Mold in bathroom. Lingering cigarette in room. Breakfast was minimal. Sirens throughout the night."
