"I always go to Aldi for the ‘specialty’ ice cream… it’s so creamy and delicious. There are several items I always buy, good quality and decent prices. Recently some of my favorites aren’t available when I shop. My daughter loves the pirogies, unfortunately they are not available very often. So glad for the newer location in El Cajon which is more convenient for me."

"I am not sure where to jump here. I thought the store is ok. I wasn't aware of the quarter needed to get a cart. A nice lady provided me with one. Didn't like that i couldn't find bags so had to buy two of theirs. Prices are good cuz most of the items are off brand. Altho not particularly impressed, the place is clean and well maintained. Mostly self checkout and didn't see much staff in the store. Didn't live up to the hype."

"Frustrating for new customers but great prices and great products. First off know to use a cart you need to have a quarter. They offer free carts but you have to go in to the back side speak to a register they will give you a quarter for the cart. They also do not have hand baskets so prepare to just hold stuff or bring your own cart? Next frustrating thing- they do bot offer regular plastic bags. The $1 or more reusable bags or really poor quality paper bags. Next frustrating thing is not self check out. They do havenregular check out lanes. But they are designed to take your purchases and put them directly into your cart for you. There is no bagging area for the cashier only a cart space, but of you don't use a cart do to not having a quarter then they just have to kind of stack it on the edge. Now for good stuff. Selection, they have name brand amd off name brand. You can get cheetos for around regular price or some weird off Brand version for less than $2 Rare items, they often have things you don't see in other locations like whole duck, and veal. Price, eggs are normal priced. Like normal before the current stupd eggflation prices we have now. I cam out with 4 bags full of groceries for about $40. Walmart thensame amount of food is about $80-$100 and Walmart is cheaper than everywhere else. Synopsis, I will regularly shop here and do recommend it but the initial shock of how uncustomer user friendly they are is hard to get over."
