Hyatt Vacation Club At The Welk

"I have visited this location many times, one time I even had paid for access for a couple years. Unfortunately doesn't meet standards you would expect. This month I visited and the kitchen was barely stocked. Didn't even have bowls for cooking which I found unusual. Attempted to use three different grills on-site and none were operational. We ended up cooking stove top instead which was not preferred. Rooms are much smaller in Village on the Greens units, so be aware. Expect a long wait at the lobby. I had a friend attempt to get a parking pass but waiting a long time since it's the same line they use at Reception to convince people to attend presentations."

"I came to one of their travel marketing “ time share” meetings. This was my first experience in one of these meeting so I recommend asking a lot of questions if you are truly interested in pursuing it. The staff were very nice, however, they definitely know how to make you feel the pressure to commit to their vacation club. Just know you can always say no. As for the free gifts the smaller gifts, such as the Hornblower cruise and the wine tasting seem legitimate, however, the larger gifts such as the free travel have controversial reviews. The company (Casablanca Express) they partner with to provide and plan your trip is a scam. After doing research I found that they have countless bad reviews on several platforms and have even been sued for stealing peoples money. Personally I would not want to go into business with a company that associates with a scam because it shows their true intentions. I have reached out to Hyatt vacation club over this matter and I will update this post when I receive a response. I hope Hyatt can rectify this and reclaim some trust with their costumers."

"Very nice place when you are staying with a bigger group and want room to cook. Having a two-bedroom suite was reasonable when splitting with others and was absolutely massive. Has everything you need for cooking. The room could have used some repairs/touch-ups, but was very clean and just massive. Beautiful view off of the patio as well. Facilities were fun but need repairs. Foosball tables had broken rods or people on them. These are easy and cheap to repair, so it would be nice if they would keep those in good condition as that is part of why you stay at a resort. The pools were very large and heated very nicely so that it was a pleasant swim even when it was only in the mid-50s outside. However, the hot-tub specifically needed a deep cleaning. Service was alright. Room cleaning never occurred, I believe it is on-demand vs. scheduled. We were there only 3 nights so it wasn't an issue for us. The property is very safe, including a gate guard checking for parking passes to get into anything past the check-in building. Parking is free which is not surprising due to location, but always a plus in charge-happy California. Overall, it was a nice stay."

"Great location, staff are helpful and courteous. Villa is very nicely furnished and clean, all amenities needed for cooking in. Canyon Grille has amazing salmon, staff are spot on, and bartender was awesome. Fitness gym has everything for a good workout. Choose your time to go. Never have to leave the resort if you do not want to. Will be playing disc golf. The course is immaculate, nice intermediate course. There is nothing but good things to say. I'm not sure why anyone would complain about this lovely spot."

"I needed a place to spend the night on my way back to San Diego and found this place on the map. The weather was raining and I was only there for overnight, but it a very nice place. I had a small one bedroom suite and it was just wonderful. The room was very spacious, with a large walk in shower, and a very nice kitchen and living area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I wish I hadn’t previously booked a room close to the San Diego airport for the next day, which I couldn’t cancel. I would have stayed here because it was only a 45 minute drive to the airport. You won’t be disappointed in the suites at the Welk!"
