"I found our pool builder through Imagine when they featured Riverstone Pools on their Instagram. We’re now 17-months post-completion and in that time, every aspect of Riverstone Pools’ installation has required repair, remediation, or outright replacement. In 2022 it was the coping grout, paver deck, skimmer, drainage and hardscaping. Then in March 2023, we had our gas company out to evaluate the meter for a generator. That’s when we found out the gas line Riverstone ran for our pool heater was full of code violations and unsafe for use. When we couldn’t find record of a license for the person who ran the gas line and contacted the State, Riverstone disclosed that their sub didn’t have his plumber’s license. Then we decided to have the electrical looked at by someone independent of Riverstone. And that is when the State inspector informed us that Riverstone Pools had never completed a second rough-in or final electrical inspection on our property. We discovered this in March 2023; hand-off for our pool was done May 11, 2022. For nearly 11 months we’d been using a pool with a hazardous gas line and uninspected electrical thanks to Riverstone Pools. We aren’t the only ones. The State’s public permit search shows Riverstone had multiple open permits over two years old for properties with finished builds that never had final electrical inspections. Several permits actually expired this year without final inspections being completed. Imagine takes care to add the disclaimer on their website that these aren’t “their” builders, but Imagine is readily promoting and marketing the work of these builders on their social media, website, booklets, and “Pool of the Month” features. I can’t understand how a builder that neglects such critical aspects of construction ended up featured in Imagine’s advertisements and dealer network, but that’s precisely how I found Riverstone. In my opinion it calls into question Imagine’s vetting process and how well they’re scrutinizing the contractors they’re working with."
