"I have been in the shop a couple times the last few months and both times were really great. First time I had found a board online that had this awesome looking shape I wanted to try, kind of wide, shorter wheel base, blunt tail, shaped nose- looked like an awesome combination of old school and modern street. So I ask about it, and they don't have the specific deck I had seen online. But as we get into the shape I'm looking for, he has a 5 points "pool shape" deck that is the exact parameters I'm looking for. The wood comes from the same parent company I believe, So not only did I get the actual board I was looking for, I got to stand on it, look at it, and also save money by getting the 5 points deck. Win Win. We talked about trucks and wheels I had at home- Tyler thought my trucks would be fine and wheels might be a bit small. After riding my new set up for a bit, I completely agree. Anyway, I decide to pop in and check out shoes. They had just got some in. Found some I love, and getting to try them on, I found a pair of those mythical wide shoes in the new release one nine seven. So excited to share with some friends there is a wide skate shoe- I look online to show some folks- and they cost more on-line. SO again I am getting exactly what I want and need for better prices than on-line. So TLDR: I got to save money, shop local, get good solid advice and feedback about professional gear. It's really a great feeling. I got my first skate there when I was little, and I am so happy I got to go back and be reminded why it is still the best place to get gear."

"I was looking to get a new complete after leaving my board in storage at school. I tried looking in my hometown, Oxnard, for some locally owned skate shops but they were all close down so I went over to Ventura to see if there were any good ones. I can honestly recommend this skate shop to anyone, especially beginners. I was helped out by Frank who knew all his stuff with regards to boarding and his connection definitely highlighted it. I went in looking for a classic board setup but left with a beautiful board. As we were selecting components Frank helped me choose between items with his experience and input--which are thoroughly appreciated. He was also to give me history about the board and the area while he set it up for me. If you're looking for a locally owned shop with experienced and friendly employees, this is definitely the spot."
