"I only gave 3 stars because I did not actually shop there. I ordered online & had to return it 2 days after Christmas. The returns area was fully staffed, easy to find, & the young lady who helped me was very polite and efficient."

"Had to return two pairs of earrings that broke (clasp and post) before I could enjoy them. Jewelry sales person was utterly rude and offensive. She at first told me it was "just fashion jewelry" and said she could not accept as a return because they were "used." I pointed out that I'd purchased them two weeks ago and was never able to wear them because they broke as I was trying to put them on. Showing her the receipt, she could not deny they'd been purchased recently. As far as dismissing them as "fashion" jewelry as a reason to not refund my money, that was baseless and irrelevant. (Total came to $70, not an amount I consider insignificant). The fact was that they were defective. Only when I asked for a manager was I extended any service or common courtesy. Even then, the manager seemed to have a poor attitude but did refund my money without further insults or childish arguing. Having worked in retail as a 20- something, the first rule we were taught was to always show the customer respect. Had I started an argument over a customer's desire to return defective merchandise, I'd have been removed from the floor and told to pick up my final check was waiting for me as I left the store. I have been a Macy's fan for more than 25 years. It's disappointing to see how far down they've gone in quality and service."

"good selection, relatively normal prices. Lately they haven't had a large selection of different types of jeans (pretty much only flare and skinny and everything in between) but otherwise good. They also don't carry as many brand names as other stores, so if you wanted to get something specific like NIKE or Adidas, then different stores are better for that. Service is good but there aren't many employees around the store to assist. Macy's is a good place to get suits and dress shirts too."

"We have enjoyed this Macy's for many years, we are always warmly welcomed upon each visit. Finding out way around the store is a breeze, whether we're searching for makeup for my wife and daughters or cologne for me and my sons. The store boasts a dedicated men's section, and spans two levels, offering a wide range of options for shoppers. Macy's remains our go-to destination for a satisfying shopping experience."

"I come to the Ventura mall pretty often, well I used to come often before everything hit the fan. I believed that the mall was "dead" with no one around! Yet, I found a couple of stores open and each one of them we're mindful of the virus. Everything felt safe and secure making it feel official. There's even heavy discounts on clothes and other items. I do recommend coming here but remember to stay safe!"
