"I was recommended this place by a friend, and I have gladly stopped in just a couple times so far, but this place is absolutely amazing. Here's the 3 things I love about this place: 1. It's a good old school barber shop. There are no appointments, just walk in, and if there's a few people ahead of you, you sit and wait. Even with 3-4 people ahead of you, you'll get through in less than an hour generally. If you go there regularly, they'll know who you are and how you like your hair trimmed. 2. Because of the freedom from appointments, you generally get some good social interaction. There is no separate waiting area, and you can sit and listen, or talk to other people who happen to also be there. A wild concept in these times, I know. The barbers are great here, as well, and they know how to make good conversation and actually listen while doing a great job on whatever you want for your hair. 3. The hot shave with the sharp straight razor at the end is truly a lost art most places. But not here. A luxury once enjoyed becomes a necessity, and it's hard to go back to not having it with your haircut. Now, I wouldn't normally say a barber shop has great ambiance, but after years of sitting in your run of the mill late-90s to mid-2000s cookie cutter shopping center hair...places, finding one that reminds you of where your grandfather or father would take you is a true gem. Life is short and fleeting, so you may as well spend time in small businesses that are not merely liminal spaces. On top of all that, you get a great hair cut for a great price and the barbers are great."
