"How cool is this place?!? A small little piece of American history preserved in suburbia! I love running by this park and my kids absolutely LOVED it when I took them there. In time, we'll focus on the history, but today it's all about the FUN of this park!"

"A not too large park that preserves an important site in the history of Germantown, Tn. Fort Germantown park is home to the remaining traces of "Fort Germantown", an earthen redoubt fortification from the War Between the States, built by the Union Army during the war to protect the Memphis & Charleston Railroad from Confederate cavalry attacks in the middle of the war."

"Nice, quiet neighborhood park. Some historical markers to read, but otherwise has picnic tables and plenty of green space for kids to run and play. Definitely a hidden gem, it's not meant to be a large city park of trails or playgrounds."

"Very sparse descriptions of the fort. There's a couple of cool Cannon's there. There's a small 5 car parking lot with a walking trail that is a circle that would be on half of a basketball court. Not much else to do. Plenty of area to put in a swing set playground area and plenty of area they could have created a longer walking trail too. Underutilized area and poor area usage planning."

"Nice little slice of history. Usually very quiet unless a train is rolling through. A couple of tables & benches make for am excellent lunch outing."
