"This was one of my favorite restaurants until I ordered yesterday the tofu Sheshuan style +fried rice, I received almost no sauce in a bunch of tofu and I couldn't mix the rice as it was so dry as no sauce was given I thought it was all spilled amd they did not want to remake it. I won't go back there. That spoiled my dinner plans !"
"Not sure what the complaints are about. This is some of the most authentic food in LA. It was never advertised as a sit down restaurant… deliveries are handled by the apps and have nothing to do with the restaurant itself."
"California Wok's food is excellent, absolutely delicious, and staff is so friendly. There's no sit down, just pick up but the food is always fresh and delicious! Their orange chicken and shrimp with chef special sauce are one of my favorite dishes. This place is a must try!"
"I’ve been coming to California Wok for years and they recently moved to the Santa Ana location. I think it’s what you would call a ghost kitchen concept. You can order online or via the kiosk on site. Similar to some boba places in the area. I ordered my usual chicken fried rice, kung pao beef, and chicken dumplings. The food came piping hot and it was still tasty! Whenever I’m in town, that is my go-to take out spot. They’ve been in the area for many many years. So give this local spot a try if you want a no frills takeout experience."
"Ordered sesame chicken with fried rice and egg rolls. Sesame chicken is completely crispy and there was no rice with the food whatsoever. If you're going to order from here go verify everything is in the bag. Edit: don't order from here. Wrote the review before trying the food. Sesame chicken came as if it were just fried pork rinds, chewy, no meat at all. Do yourself a favor and just don't do it."
