"Whole Foods customer service at this location went down quite a bit, especially some of the cashiers. Obviously, they are not happy, they seldom greeted their customers, if they did, they greeted even without moving their facial muscles at all, which made their customers wonder what went wrong. What also went wrong is the quality of their products. Attached is a picture of a piece of pork shoulder I bought couple of days ago. I sliced and put them in the freezer right after I got home, but today some of them looked like this, smelly and some part of it turned greenish, which is really disgusting. Avoid this place, you deserve better service and products in any other stores."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Visited the Whole Foods in San Mateo and was thoroughly impressed with their juice selection. In particular, their stock of Uncle Matt's brand juice caught my eye. I went with the immunity blend - a rejuvenating mix of orange, elderberry, and zinc. It was not only delicious but also gave me a healthful boost. The store layout made for an easy and pleasant shopping experience, and the staff were both friendly and knowledgeable. This location definitely keeps up the Whole Foods reputation for quality and variety. I'll be back soon to explore more of their offerings! Highly recommend."

"Clean, well stocked, has a lot of options for fresh food to go. The bakery section, always looks great. Big parking lot. I got the croissant toast to make breakfast, the very last bag. And a pound of apple wood smoked bacon by the fresh meat section. Our breakfast was wonderful. Closes at 10pm which is great. Update- got the kebabs from the meat department. Chicken and beef Kentucky bourbon sticks, broil high 5 minutes on each side. Use a thermometer to make sure chicken is at 165 and pair with a salad and enjoy!"

"Whole Foods in San Mateo at Hillsdale is one of my favorite Peninsula stores. The store product is always fresh, well staged, and the prices very competitive. I appreciate the 1 stop shopping and this is exactly what Whole Foods offers. The hot foods section is well varied as well as the made on request option. The meat and fish section is a little pricey for my liking but everything is top quality. Upon entering the store, you have access to fruits, vegetables, and floral. Interesting strategy especially how the pricing changes as you delve deeper in the store. The store is amazing and just today, I registered for the Amazon prime palm reader payment system."

"Typical Whole Foods market. Not huge but gets the job done. Aisles well stocked and tidy. The produce is always pretty at Whole Foods and usually tastes very fresh. The 365 store brand is reliable. Plenty of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-free items to choose from. Parking can be tricky as the lot shares the burden of several popular fast food options like Chipotle."
