"I was at this store today. I bought a couple hundred dollars worth of tops there. One of the tops I liked was not in my size, so they ordered the top to be mailed to me. They had an old address for me and I updated it with them at the store. They even showed me the address that they typed and I confirmed that it was correct. When I arrived home I had an email from Chico's saying that my order was being processed. It said the package was being shipped to an old P.O. Box address. I called them immediately and they said they didn't know how that happened, but there was nothing they could do about it even though I just made the purchase a couple hours earlier. They told me to call the 888 customer service number. I called it and was again told that there was nothing they could do about it. The purchase would be shipped to the old P.O. Box address. When I moved months ago, the post office wouldn't let me update my new address from an old P.O. Box. Supposedly P.O. Box's can't be updated to new addresses. So the package will be delivered to a P.O. box that is no longer mine in a town hours from where I now live. The Post Office will have no way of knowing where to forward it. Chico's won't refund my money until the package is returned to them. I believe that I will never see the $39.89 that I paid because it is highly unlikely that the post office will actually return the package to Chicos. This has to be the worst customer service on this planet. Hours after they made the mistake, they can't fix it in the store or on their customer service line. The package hasn't even been shipped yet. It's in the processing stage, yet they can't fix their mistake before it ships, so I have to wait weeks or months or maybe never to get refunded for their mistake. I have a business. If my business made a mistake, I would get in contact with the shipping department to ensure that the package did not ship. This isn't impossible to fix. However, Chico's admits blame, but refuses to hold themselves accountable for their mistake and fix the problem. Instead, they insist that the customer must suffer for the Chico's employee's mistake. Shame on them. Update: It has been three weeks. I never received the merchandise that they sent to the wrong address and they never refunded my money. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company for the charge. I will also be contacting my local paper to ask them to conduct an investigative report on the criminal organization known as Chicos. The "response" below my post is ludicrous. I called both the Carlsbad Chico's where I purchased the merchandise and customer service. They both said they couldn't do anything. Their customer service policy seems to be to always make the customer suffer for the company's mistake and steal as much money as they can from people."

"Let me start by saying I'm not a chronic 1 start commenter. I usually tend to give great reviews. Chico's Carlsbad has some Snarky staff. I came in today June 15th between 2:30 and 3pm. There were 3 staff members at that time in the store. As my friend was in the dressing room I was just wandering around the store. What caught my attention was the rude tone of the clerk at the desk. A customer was making a return from what I could gather and she was asking about the return. The customer was not rude and just questioning the return process I believe. I did not hear exactly what was said but that was the feel I got. The clerk spoke to her as if she was a 5 year old that could not walk and chew gum at the same time. She was very condescending to this customer. At that same time another staff member - I'll call her Snarky #2 walked by me and mumbled in an irritated tone " I guess were fashion consultants now." Next on stage was Snarky #3. At this point I had found a chair to sit in to wait for my friend. Snarky #3 complained out loud how someone had messed up the pants on the folding table. I felt bad for her and just commented about who would do such a thing. She looked an me and in a snotty tone said "How would I know who did it!" I thought to myself, geez lady I was just trying to sympathize with you. Anyways she walked over to me sitting in this chair and said "Are you shopping?" Not "how can I help you?" "Do you need anything?" I told her I was waiting for my friend in the dressing room. When my friend came out she went to purchase a pair of pants that she got off the sale rack. The clerk abruptly told her they were not on sale. My friend asked her if she could check. the clerk checked and my friend was correct. The clerk then rang her up. My friend asked if she needed to input her phone number - I guess some stores have an accumulating point system. The clerk said no. So my friend asked about if they indeed had a point system as she thought they did at the other Chico's locations. The clerk responded in a snotty tone about the point system and how my friend didn't ask about it ahead of time or something to that extent. The clerk then gave a little huff when my friend pushed the wrong button on the credit. card machine and cancelled the transaction by mistake. Snarky #3 then became more irritated that she had to re-ring up this one pair of pants. Mind you, the store was not that busy at this time. I had said nothing to my friend about what I witnessed while she was in the dressing room or what had just happened to her. As we left she asked me if it was just her or was the clerk rude. I said she was correct, they were all rude! If you have video cameras in this store you may want to also take a look at the demographics of the customers at that time of day. This was a situation of Mean Girls but the Golden Girls version."

"All the ladies in charge of the store are super, great helpers without being overwhelming. Clothing is classy. Prices accordingly to the quality. Just a note, though. In my case I’d love to see an equivalent of their measurements with other brands on the merchandise tags. :)"
